Who actually knows and understands what that word means. People think a soul mate is like your perfect match, and that’s what everyone’s after. But a true soul mate is like a mirror, the person who shows you everything that’s holding you back, the one who brings your shortcomings to your attention so you can change your life. A real soul mate is probably the most important person you’ll ever come across, because they break down your barriers and jolt you awake. But to live with a soul mate forever? Nah. Too painful. Soul mates, they come into your life just to show you another layer of yourself, and then they go.
